Description
A comforting and creamy skillet pasta dish that combines ground beef, Velveeta cheese, and zesty tomatoes, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained
- 1 cup milk
- 8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Sauté for about 6-8 minutes or until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Cook until the onion is soft and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the undrained diced tomatoes and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Reduce the heat to low. Pour in the milk and add the Velveeta cheese cubes. Stir continuously until the cheese melts completely and the sauce is creamy and smooth.
- Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet. Gently toss until the pasta is evenly coated with the creamy cheese sauce.
- Add salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
