Description

A delightful holiday appetizer combining tangy cranberry sauce, creamy cheese, and savory turkey, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tube crescent rolls
  • 4 oz chive and onion cream cheese
  • 1.5 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 3 tsp finely chopped fresh rosemary or thyme
  • 2 cups shredded Gruyere cheese (divided)
  • 1 lb thinly sliced turkey
  • 1 can whole berry cranberry sauce (14 oz)
  • 2 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 0.5 tsp poppy seeds
  • 0.5 tsp granulated garlic
  • 0.25 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent rolls, separate the triangles, and arrange them in a circular shape on the baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the cream cheese, Dijon mustard, and 1 tsp of fresh herbs.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the wider parts of the crescent dough.
  5. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded Gruyere cheese over the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Layer the thinly sliced turkey over the cheese.
  7. Spread half of the cranberry sauce over the turkey layer.
  8. Top with the remaining shredded Gruyere cheese.
  9. Fold the pointy ends of the crescent triangles up and over the filling.
  10. In a small bowl, melt the butter and mix in poppy seeds, garlic, and salt. Brush this mixture over the crescent ring.
  11. Sprinkle the remaining herbs over the buttered ring.
  12. Bake for 22-24 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  13. Let cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Make ahead by assembling the crescent ring a day prior and refrigerating. Can be frozen before baking.
