  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. After peeling and cubing the sweet potatoes, place them directly into the crockpot.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix until well blended.
  3. Pour the butter mixture over the sweet potatoes, stirring gently to coat all pieces evenly.
  4. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until the sweet potatoes are fork-tender.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle mini marshmallows on top and cover to allow them to melt.
  6. If using, sprinkle chopped pecans over the marshmallows before serving.
