- 1 lb Italian sausage, browned, drained, and chopped
- 1 15 oz can Italian diced tomatoes
- 4 cups vegetable or chicken broth
- 32 oz container cream cheese, cubed
- 1 20 oz bag frozen cheese tortellini
- 3–4 cups fresh spinach
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tbsp black pepper
Instructions
- In a large slow cooker, combine the browned Italian sausage, vegetable or chicken broth, and diced tomatoes. Stir well.
- Add the cubed cream cheese and sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Cover the slow cooker and set it to high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
- After cooking, stir in the frozen cheese tortellini and fresh spinach. Cook for an additional 30 minutes (on high) or until the pasta is tender.
- Once everything is heated through, serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, use fire-roasted diced tomatoes and consider adding a dash of hot sauce for a spicy twist.
