Description

Creamy peanut butter and rich chocolate come together in these delightful Easter Egg Peanut Butter Candies, perfect for spring celebrations.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 and 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate bars, coarsely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • Coarse sea salt or flaky sea salt (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Beat the butter until creamy and smooth.
  3. Add peanut butter and combine.
  4. Gradually add confectioners’ sugar, vanilla extract, and salt, mixing until combined.
  5. Shape into egg forms and place on the baking sheet.
  6. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  7. Melt chocolate with vegetable oil.
  8. Dip each egg into the melted chocolate.
  9. Place the dipped eggs back on the sheet.
  10. Refrigerate until chocolate is set, about 30 minutes.
  11. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
