Description

A delicious and visually stunning tart filled with rich Nutella, shaped like a radiant sun, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 sheets Puff Pastry (pre-rolled)
  • 1 large Egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 jar Nutella (or any thick chocolate or hazelnut spread)
  • 1 cup Icing Sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out one sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut a large circle (about 12 inches in diameter).
  3. Place the pastry on a parchment-lined baking sheet, and spread a generous layer of Nutella, leaving a border around the edges.
  4. Roll out the second sheet of puff pastry and place it over the Nutella layer, gently pressing down around the edges.
  5. Cut slits into the top dough, radiating from the center outward like sun rays.
  6. Whisk the egg and brush it over the entire tart.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Once cool, dust the tart with icing sugar, slice, and serve!

Notes

For best results, chill the pastry before baking and avoid overworking it to maintain flakiness.
