- 3 packages Mrs. T’s cheddar pierogies
- 1 lb kielbasa, sliced
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese
Instructions
- Begin by slicing the kielbasa into bite-size pieces.
- In the crockpot, layer the kielbasa slices followed by the pierogies.
- Pour in the chicken broth for moisture.
- Dollop chunks of cream cheese atop the pierogies and sprinkle shredded cheddar over the top.
- Season generously with salt and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for about 4 hours or until the pierogies are tender.
- Carefully stir before serving and ladle into bowls, optionally garnishing with fresh herbs.
Notes
For a lighter option, use turkey kielbasa. You can also adapt this recipe to be vegan by using plant-based substitutes.
