Description

A comforting and creamy crockpot pasta dish with garlic and Parmesan that is perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, cubed and softened
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • ½ cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 12 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or your favorite)
  • Chopped parsley for garnish
  • Extra Parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Pour chicken broth over the chicken and add grated Parmesan, cream cheese cubes, and minced garlic on top.
  3. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours until the chicken is tender.
  4. Shred the chicken in the crockpot and stir to combine with the sauce.
  5. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  6. Add the drained pasta to the crockpot with the chicken and sauce. Pour in heavy cream and stir until combined.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

For best results, use homemade chicken broth. Adjust creaminess by varying the amount of heavy cream.
