Description
Crispy, golden, spiced apple wedges air-fried to perfection and served with caramel or yogurt. A perfect sweet snack!
Ingredients
- 2 large apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or your favorite variety)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (or regular breadcrumbs)
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- Cooking spray
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce (optional)
- 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt (optional)
Instructions
1. Peel and slice apples into 1/2 inch wedges. Mix cinnamon and sugar; set aside.
2. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with eggs, one with panko mixed with half the cinnamon-sugar.
3. Dredge apple wedges in flour, coat in egg, then press into breadcrumb mixture.
4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F for 3 minutes. Arrange slices in a single layer, spray lightly with cooking spray.
5. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
6. While hot, sprinkle with remaining cinnamon-sugar. Serve with dips.
Notes
Use tart apples like Granny Smith for contrast or Honeycrisp for sweetness.
Reheat leftovers in the air fryer for a few minutes.
Try dipping in chocolate sauce or whipped cream too!
