Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Set your Instant Pot to sauté mode and add olive oil, cooking the ground sausage until browned.
  2. Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic, sautéing until softened.
  3. Stir in the rice to coat with sausage and vegetables.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth, ensuring the rice is fully submerged.
  5. Seal the Instant Pot lid and set to manual high pressure for 5 minutes.
  6. Allow for a natural pressure release for about 5 minutes, then quick release remaining pressure.
  7. Stir in the heavy cream and cheese until melted and creamy.
  8. Season to taste with salt and pepper before serving warm.

Notes
