Description

Comforting mushroom meatballs simmered in a rich, savory gravy, perfect for cozy family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 bag (26 oz) frozen meatballs (about 3035 meatballs)
  • 2 cups reduced-sodium beef broth
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Lightly spray the insert of your slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Place frozen meatballs evenly in the slow cooker insert.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together beef broth, brown gravy mix, onion soup mix, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the meatballs, stirring gently to coat.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and set it on low for 5-6 hours.
  6. About 10 minutes before serving, mix cornstarch with cold water to create a slurry and stir into the slow cooker.
  7. Let it cook for an additional 10 minutes or until the gravy thickens.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.

Notes

Perfect with mashed potatoes or rice; the dish can also be frozen for later meals.
