Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the boneless chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix evenly over the chicken.
  3. Cut the cream cheese into cubes and scatter them over the top of the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until chicken is tender.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken in the pot using two forks, letting the juices meld with the meat.
  6. Stir everything together until well combined, making sure the chicken is coated in the creamy sauce.
  7. Dust the shredded cheddar cheese over the top, cover, and let it melt for about 10 minutes.
