- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar

- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 6 cups broccoli, cut into bite-sized pieces

Instructions

- In the crockpot, combine chicken broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and hoisin sauce. Whisk until well blended.
- Add the seasoned chicken to the crockpot and give it a gentle stir to ensure every piece is coated with the sauce.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours or HIGH for 2 to 3 hours until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
- Mix 1/4 cup of the sauce with cornstarch in a small bowl until there are no lumps, then stir it back into the crockpot to thicken the sauce.
- Lay the broccoli on top of the chicken, cover, and cook on HIGH for an additional 20 minutes, allowing it to steam.
- Serve the dish hot over rice, noodles, or cauliflower rice, garnishing with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.
Notes
Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F for safe consumption. Use fresh broccoli for optimal flavor and texture.
