Instructions

  1. Begin by cooking the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a bit of the pasta water for later if needed.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.
  3. Toss in the asparagus and cook for about 3-5 minutes until tender but still crisp.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream, lemon juice, and zest, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing until well coated with the creamy sauce and asparagus mixture.
  6. Mix in the Parmesan cheese, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to combine.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Start your pasta before the sauce for seamless cooking. If the sauce is too thick, add a ladle of pasta water to loosen it. Don’t skip the lemon zest for added brightness.
