Description
A flavorful dish featuring boneless chicken breasts in a rich, buttery sauce infused with garlic and lemon, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp fresh dill, chopped
- 1 piece lemon, juiced
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from the chicken breasts and pat them dry. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown, then set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, melt the butter, and stir in minced garlic for about 30 seconds.
- Add Dijon mustard, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, and chicken broth to the skillet; let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and let it thicken slightly. Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce over it, and let simmer for 5-10 minutes until fully cooked.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and dill before serving warm.
Notes
For best results, allow chicken to rest after cooking to retain juiciness. You can prep chicken and sauce ahead of time.
