Description

A delightful fusion of creamy cheesecake and flaky churro pastry, these bars are perfect for sharing at any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 16 oz (450g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon; set aside.
  3. Unroll one can of crescent roll dough into the prepared baking dish, sealing seams to form an even layer.
  4. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add 1 cup granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  5. Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture over the dough in the baking dish.
  6. Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough on top of the cream cheese, sealing the edges.
  7. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the top dough layer.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and set. Allow to cool to room temperature before refrigerating for at least an hour.
  9. Slice into bars and serve chilled, optionally sprinkling with additional cinnamon.

Notes

Consider adding a chocolate drizzle for an extra touch. Allowing the bars to chill enhances flavors and texture.
