Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar for dusting
- Sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, cream cheese, softened butter, egg, and vanilla extract until the mixture is well blended.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to maintain the cookie’s shape during baking.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the dough and roll them into balls.
- Roll each ball in powdered sugar to coat thoroughly.
- Place coated balls on a lined baking sheet and sprinkle with holiday sprinkles.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Chilling the dough helps to prevent excessive spreading during baking. Watch the baking time closely to avoid over-baking.
