Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Ensure the oven rack is centered.
- Combine flour, baking powder, sea salt, and sage in a small bowl and whisk together.
- Whisk together softened butter and sour cream in another bowl, then add the egg and mix until smooth.
- Mix the flour mixture with the butter mixture until just combined.
- Spread the dough mixture into a greased 3-quart baking dish using damp hands.
- Mix the vegetables, cooked chicken, cream of mushroom soup, and chopped onion in a large bowl.
- Spoon the chicken mixture over the dough and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top, covering the filling.
- Bake uncovered for 35 to 40 minutes until bubbly and golden.
