Description
These Easy Chicken Roll Ups with crescent rolls are creamy, cheesy, and the ultimate weeknight comfort food. Just five simple ingredients come together in under 40 minutes for a family-friendly dinner everyone will love.
Ingredients
- 6 oz cooked chopped chicken breast (about 1 to 1 ½ cups)
- 1 (8 oz) can refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1 (10.5 oz) can Unsalted Cream of Chicken Soup
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
2. In a bowl, whisk together milk, cream of chicken soup, and shredded cheddar cheese until smooth. Set aside.
3. Open the crescent roll package and separate into 8 triangles.
4. Place a spoonful of chopped chicken on the wide end of each crescent triangle. Add 1 teaspoon of the soup mixture on top of the chicken.
5. Roll up each crescent, starting from the wide end, and tuck in the sides as best as possible.
6. Spread about ⅓ cup of the soup mixture on the bottom of the baking dish to keep the rolls from sticking.
7. Place the filled crescents in the dish. Pour the remaining soup mixture evenly over the top.
8. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, or until the crescents are golden and the sauce is bubbly.
9. Remove from oven, let cool for 5 minutes, and serve warm.
Notes
Use rotisserie chicken for quicker prep and more flavor.
Don’t overfill the crescents or they’ll be hard to roll.
Brush the tops with melted butter before baking for extra crispiness.
Let the casserole rest before serving so the sauce thickens slightly.
