Description

Crispy tater tot cups stuffed with melted cheddar, bacon, sour cream, and green onions—easy, bite-sized party perfection!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4860 frozen tater tots (16-oz bag)
  • ¾ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 green onions, sliced (green parts only)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 450ºF; spray muffin pan with nonstick spray.

2. For mini muffin pan add 2–3 tots per cup; for regular add 4–5 tots per cup.

3. Bake on the bottom rack for 10 minutes; remove pan.

4. Spray the bottom of a shot glass; press and twist into each cup to form potato “cups.”

5. Return to oven; bake 15 minutes until deep golden and crisp.

6. Add ~1 Tbsp cheddar to each cup; bake 4–5 minutes to melt.

7. Transfer to a platter; cool 5 minutes. Top with sour cream, bacon, and green onions; serve warm.

Notes

Make Ahead: Prepare through forming/baking cups (before toppings), refrigerate in the pan, then re-crisp at 400ºF for ~10 minutes before filling.

Storage: Refrigerate leftovers up to 5 days in an airtight container. Reheat at 350ºF in oven/air fryer ~10 minutes.

Swaps: Try pepper jack, jalapeños, ranch drizzle, or pulled chicken for variety.
