Description
This cozy, cheesy ranch potatoes and smoked sausage bake is an easy weeknight comfort dish made with smoky sausage, crispy roasted potatoes, and melty cheese. Minimal ingredients, big flavor, and always a family favorite.
Ingredients
- 1 pound smoked sausage (halal-certified, no pork)
- 4 cups baby potatoes, halved or quartered
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (halal-certified)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheeses)
- 1/2 cup sour cream (optional, for serving)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Wash and cut baby potatoes in halves or quarters.
3. Slice sausage into 1/4-inch rounds.
4. Mix ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
5. Toss potatoes with olive oil and half the seasoning mix.
6. Spread potatoes on a baking sheet and add sausage pieces on top.
7. Roast for 35–40 minutes, stirring halfway through.
8. Sprinkle cheese on top and return to oven for 5 minutes.
9. Garnish with parsley and serve with sour cream if desired.
Notes
Use parchment paper for easier cleanup.
Shred your own cheese for better melt.
Broil at the end for extra bubbly cheese.
Let it rest 5 minutes before serving.
