- 1/2 cup Candied peel
- 1/2 cup Golden raisins

Instructions
- Combine the Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt until well blended.
- Incorporate Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the lukewarm water, eggs, and softened butter until smooth. Gradually add this mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
- Knead the Dough: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
- Let it Rise: Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl and cover it with a clean kitchen towel. Let it rise in a warm area for about 1-2 hours, or until it doubles in size.
- Add Fruits and Flavoring: Gently fold in the dried fruits and Fiori di Sicilia flavoring until evenly distributed.
- Shape the Dough: Form the dough into a ball and place it into a greased panettone mold or a deep cake pan lined with parchment paper.
- Second Rise: Cover with a towel and allow it to rise for another hour until it expands just above the edge of the mold.
- Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the panettone for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool: Let it cool in the mold for about 15 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack. Allow it to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
For vegan adaptation, use flaxseed meal instead of eggs and coconut oil instead of butter. Ensure to let the dough rise adequately for the best texture.
