Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- Salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 1 (16-ounce) package frozen tater tots
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned and crumbly, about 7–10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup until well combined.
4. Transfer the beef mixture to a 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
5. Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer over the beef.
6. Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese evenly over the tater tots.
7. Bake for 30–45 minutes, until tots are golden and casserole is bubbly hot.
8. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, mix in frozen corn, peas, or sautéed onions.
