Ingredients

- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Transfer the cooked beef to a crockpot along with the chopped bell pepper, minced garlic, diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in the kidney beans and beef broth to combine all the ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Serve hot, optionally topped with cheese or sour cream.
