Description

A cozy bowl of chili delight, rich in flavors and perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Transfer the cooked beef to a crockpot along with the chopped bell pepper, minced garlic, diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir in the kidney beans and beef broth to combine all the ingredients.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Serve hot, optionally topped with cheese or sour cream.

Notes

This chili freezes beautifully and tastes even better the next day.
