Description

A comforting and flavorful slow cooker pulled chicken dish, perfect for gatherings, featuring tender chicken coated in zesty BBQ sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3/4 cup favorite store-bought BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 23 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Instructions

  1. Combine the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, kosher salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder in your slow cooker. Stir well to blend.
  2. Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into the slow cooker and coat them with the sauce mixture.
  3. Cover with the lid and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours, until the chicken is tender and easy to shred.
  4. Transfer the chicken to a cutting board and let it rest for about 10 minutes before shredding with two forks.
  5. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to coat in the sauce.

Notes

For a saucier dish, add more BBQ sauce before shredding. Feel free to customize seasoning to your preferences.
