- 3/4 cup favorite store-bought BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2–3 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Instructions
- Combine the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, kosher salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder in your slow cooker. Stir well to blend.
- Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into the slow cooker and coat them with the sauce mixture.
- Cover with the lid and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours, until the chicken is tender and easy to shred.
- Transfer the chicken to a cutting board and let it rest for about 10 minutes before shredding with two forks.
- Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to coat in the sauce.
Notes
For a saucier dish, add more BBQ sauce before shredding. Feel free to customize seasoning to your preferences.
