Description
A vibrant and quick shrimp and broccoli stir-fry that beautifully balances fresh seafood with savory flavors, perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the hot oil and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Toss in the shrimp and cook, stirring frequently, until they turn pink and opaque, approximately 3-4 minutes.
- Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and just tender.
- Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce; stir well and let it cook for another minute to combine flavors.
- Drizzle with sesame oil, then season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over cooked rice.
Notes
For an extra umami hit, add a splash of soy sauce at the end of cooking. Fresh garlic and ginger amplify the flavor significantly.
