Description
A savory and satisfying Korean ground beef bowl that combines bold flavors and comfort. Perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, add the sesame oil. After it warms, toss in the minced garlic and grated ginger and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Carefully add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until it turns browned and thoroughly cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in the soy sauce, mixing thoroughly to coat the beef evenly. Allow it to simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve the beef mixture over a warm bed of cooked rice, and top with freshly sliced green onions.
Notes
Consider using brown rice or cauliflower rice for a healthier option. For vegetarian, substitute ground beef with textured vegetable protein or sautéed mushrooms.
