- 4 eggs
- 8 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3–4 cloves minced garlic
- 1 cup honey
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- Canola oil for frying
Instructions
- Prep the Chicken: Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness or slice into thinner cutlets.
- Mix the Dry Ingredients: Whisk together flour, salt, black pepper, ground ginger, nutmeg, thyme, sage, cayenne pepper, and paprika.
- Make the Egg Wash: Whisk eggs with water in another bowl.
- Prepare the Chicken: Season with salt and pepper, dredge in flour, dip in egg wash, and coat again in flour.
- Fry the Chicken: Heat canola oil over medium heat and fry each piece for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Craft the Honey Garlic Sauce: Sauté minced garlic in olive oil, then add honey and soy sauce, and let thicken.
- Baked Option: Coat a baking sheet with oil, place chicken, and bake at 425°F for 15 minutes, flip and continue for another 10-15 minutes.
