Ingredients

  • 1 packet dry ranch seasoning mix (1 oz)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for searing)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. (Optional) In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  2. In your slow cooker, mix the cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Place the seared chicken breasts into the sauce, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the slow cooker with the lid.
  4. Cook on LOW for 360-420 minutes or HIGH for 180-240 minutes until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  5. Using two forks, shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker. Stir in the sour cream until creamy and well combined.
  6. Serve hot over rice, mashed potatoes, or noodles. If desired, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and garnish with fresh parsley.
