Description
A creamy and comforting crock pot dish featuring chicken, ranch seasoning, and cream of chicken soup, perfect for busy days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet dry ranch seasoning mix (1 oz)
- 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for searing)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- (Optional) In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- In your slow cooker, mix the cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth.
- Place the seared chicken breasts into the sauce, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the slow cooker with the lid.
- Cook on LOW for 360-420 minutes or HIGH for 180-240 minutes until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
- Using two forks, shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker. Stir in the sour cream until creamy and well combined.
- Serve hot over rice, mashed potatoes, or noodles. If desired, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
For a lighter version, consider using Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. Experiment with adding diced vegetables for extra nutrition.
