Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large onions
  • 4 cups of water
  • 2 tablespoons of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon of onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon of black pepper

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Stir in the salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper, allowing for a minute to enhance aroma.
  3. Add the whole onions to the pot.
  4. Boil the onions for approximately 30-40 minutes or until tender when pierced with a fork.
  5. Remove the onions and let them cool slightly on a plate.
