Description

Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these homemade baked chicken tenders are perfect for family dinners, game-day gatherings, or as a quick weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • Cooking spray or oil for baking

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Create your breading station by setting up three shallow bowls: one with flour, another with beaten eggs, and the last with the breadcrumb mixture combined with Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dredge a chicken strip in flour, dip it in the beaten eggs, then coat it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the chicken tenders in a single layer. Lightly spray with cooking spray or drizzle with a little oil.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should be 165°F or 75°C).
  6. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For an ultra-crisp texture, consider using panko breadcrumbs. You can also prepare the mixture ahead of time.
