- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup diced celery
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/4 cup grapes, halved
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 package puff pastry sheets
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mayonnaise, celery, red onion, grapes, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface. Cut into squares or circles, about 3 to 4 inches wide.
- Place a spoonful of the chicken salad mixture in the center of each pastry piece.
- Fold over the pastry to enclose the filling and seal the edges tightly, pressing down with a fork.
- Beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the pastries.
- Arrange puffs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving; they are best enjoyed warm.
Notes
For best results, keep the puff pastry cold and adjust seasoning to taste. Can be frozen before or after baking.
