Description

Delightful bite-sized treats featuring a creamy chicken salad encased in flaky puff pastry, perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup diced celery
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup grapes, halved
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mayonnaise, celery, red onion, grapes, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface. Cut into squares or circles, about 3 to 4 inches wide.
  4. Place a spoonful of the chicken salad mixture in the center of each pastry piece.
  5. Fold over the pastry to enclose the filling and seal the edges tightly, pressing down with a fork.
  6. Beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the pastries.
  7. Arrange puffs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving; they are best enjoyed warm.

Notes

For best results, keep the puff pastry cold and adjust seasoning to taste. Can be frozen before or after baking.
