- 2 large tortillas
- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 cup salsa verde
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray or oil for frying
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and generously grease it with cooking spray or a drizzle of oil.
- Place one tortilla flat in the skillet and layer half of the shredded cheese evenly across its surface.
- Add the shredded chicken on top of the cheese, then distribute slices of avocado and a spoonful of salsa verde.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the filling.
- Gently lay the second tortilla over the filling.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom tortilla is crispy and golden.
- Carefully flip the quesadilla and cook for another 3-4 minutes until both sides are golden and cheese melts.
- Remove from heat, let cool slightly, then cut into wedges.
- Serve warm with additional salsa or your favorite dipping sauce.
