Ingredients

  • 2 large tortillas
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup salsa verde
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and generously grease it with cooking spray or a drizzle of oil.
  2. Place one tortilla flat in the skillet and layer half of the shredded cheese evenly across its surface.
  3. Add the shredded chicken on top of the cheese, then distribute slices of avocado and a spoonful of salsa verde.
  4. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the filling.
  5. Gently lay the second tortilla over the filling.
  6. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom tortilla is crispy and golden.
  7. Carefully flip the quesadilla and cook for another 3-4 minutes until both sides are golden and cheese melts.
  8. Remove from heat, let cool slightly, then cut into wedges.
  9. Serve warm with additional salsa or your favorite dipping sauce.
