Description

A comforting and cheesy taco dish, filled with bold flavors and textures, perfect for family gatherings or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz. pasta (elbow, penne, or rotini)
  • 1 lb. ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add the ground meat, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and salsa, allowing it to simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously until fully combined.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and gently toss to coat.
  6. Stir in the shredded cheese until it melts into the mixture.
  7. Season with salt and pepper, and serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

For variations, try a vegan version with lentils and coconut cream. Experiment with different cheeses for unique flavors.
