Description

A comforting green bean casserole that combines savory flavors for a perfect side dish any time of year.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans (14.5 oz each) green beans, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup French fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and half of the French fried onions.
  3. Stir everything gently until it’s well mixed, then season with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until bubbling.
  6. Remove the casserole and sprinkle the remaining French fried onions on top.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the onions are golden brown.

Notes

Add garlic powder or onion powder for extra flavor. For a crispy topping, consider broiling the casserole for a couple of minutes after baking.
