- 1 pound ground turkey
- 2 cups Brussels sprouts, halved
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet; sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the ground turkey, breaking it into pieces as it browns and cooks through for approximately 5-7 minutes.
- Add the halved Brussels sprouts, salt, black pepper, paprika, and optional red pepper flakes to the skillet, mixing well.
- Pour in the chicken broth then cover the skillet, allowing it to simmer on low heat for about 5-7 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are tender.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle fresh parsley over the top, and serve warm.
Notes
For a vegan version, substitute ground turkey with lentils and use vegetable broth.
