Description

A comforting skillet dish featuring ground turkey and Brussels sprouts, perfect for cold evenings and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 cups Brussels sprouts, halved
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet; sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the ground turkey, breaking it into pieces as it browns and cooks through for approximately 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the halved Brussels sprouts, salt, black pepper, paprika, and optional red pepper flakes to the skillet, mixing well.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth then cover the skillet, allowing it to simmer on low heat for about 5-7 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are tender.
  6. Remove from heat, sprinkle fresh parsley over the top, and serve warm.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute ground turkey with lentils and use vegetable broth.
