Description

This Baked Brie with fig jam is the epitome of simplicity and elegance, perfect for any gathering. The creamy richness of the brie paired with sweet, sticky fig jam creates an explosion of flavors, while flaky puff pastry adds a delightful crunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 round wheel of brie cheese
  • 1/2 cup fig jam
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (optional)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary (for garnish, optional)
  • Crackers or bread for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. If using puff pastry, roll it out and lay the brie cheese in the center.
  3. Generously spread the fig jam over the top of the brie.
  4. Carefully wrap the brie with puff pastry, sealing all the edges. Brush with egg wash for a golden finish if desired.
  5. Place the wrapped brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
  6. Allow it to cool slightly, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve warm with crackers or bread.

Notes

Use room-temperature brie for easier melting. Ensure the puff pastry edges are sealed to avoid leakage. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to three days.
