- 4 pounds potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup butter
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Place the cubed potatoes in your Instant Pot and cover with enough water to submerge them completely.
- Secure the lid on the Instant Pot and set it to high pressure for 10 minutes. Once done, perform a quick release of the pressure before draining the potatoes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained potatoes, butter, cream cheese, sour cream, and milk.
- Using a potato masher or electric mixer, mash until the mixture is creamy and smooth. Season generously with salt and pepper to taste.
- For the slow cooker method, combine all the ingredients directly in the slow cooker. Set it to low for about 4 hours or until everything is heated through and fragrant.
Notes
Let the potatoes cool slightly after cooking for easier mashing. Adjust cream cheese and sour cream for preferred creaminess.
