Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup low-sugar soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon honey or a sugar substitute (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cooking spray or a small amount of oil for the air fryer
  • Brown rice or garlic fried rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, coat the chicken pieces with cornstarch, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the orange juice, orange zest, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and honey.
  4. Place the coated chicken in the air fryer basket and spray lightly with oil. Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
